The Vizcaya Museum is a 1916 Italian Renaissance-style villa. The interior of the museum, once the winter residence of James Deering, is filled with period furnishings, artworks and antiques. The formal Italian gardens that surround the house are beautiful, with canals, pathways and fountains throughout.

Barnacle Historic State Park
Barnacle Historic State Park features the oldest home in the Miami-Dade county area that is still in its original location. Built by Ralph Munroe, a yacht designer and businessman, the house today displays many artifacts and other items that recall the time in which he lived.
