The annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival is one of the nation's premier outdoor fine arts festivals that attracts over 300 internationally acclaimed artists wishing to show their work. This February festival also features fine cuisine, live entertainment and a children's area. Besides art, the charming village of Coconut Grove is also filled with historical attractions, including the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. This 1916 Italian Renaissance villa features period furnishings and artifacts and is surrounded by formal Italian gardens. The Grove is also known for its unique shopping areas, including CocoWalk—an open-air Mediterranean-style mall that features a host of boutique shops, restaurants and a large movie theater.
